Since the Spanish housing market collapsed in 2008, an oversupply of residential properties has remained unsold or returned to the market due to foreclosure and prices have plummeted. Although property values are not expected to reach pre-crisis levels until Spain’s housing oversupply is absorbed, the OECD reports Spanish property is undervalued by 26%, making Spain a cheap place to invest.
